Top Hex was founded in 2002 and has been providing electronic solutions to technical problems ever since. Our solutions are found in process machinery, industrial controls, laboratories, retail environments and consumer applications across the world. We are often asked where the name Top Hex came from. It is certainly related to the word "hexadecimal", the 16-bit counting system used extensively in computing. The full explanation is (thankfully) lost in the mists of time.
We offer a wide range of technologies including graphic displays and touchscreens, IoT, adaptive control, automation, environmental and energy saving. Our designs are rugged and reliable which is why leading industrial companies have chosen Top Hex controls. We design and manufacture at our hub in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire – located conveniently off the A1 and less than an hour away from London by train.
In 2009, Top Hex set up a manufacturing facility to ensure our custom electronic controls were manufactured with the same care and attention to detail with which they had been designed. Within 5 years, we had outgrown our premises and moved into our current facility at 8 Ramsey Court, Hinchingbrooke Business Park.
We have recently expanded our offering with in-house CNC machining, complementing our established surface-mount and PCB assembly capability. To us, prototypes are just as important as production and we are able to offer a fast turnabround service. Whether you are looking for 5 or 5000 units, we have the capacity, capability and commitment to manufacture your product quickly to the highest quality standards.
Although the business has evolved considerably, our core values remain unchanged. We remain a diverse and inclusive company offering each of our clients a truly personal service.
